Compensation
$10.00 to $14.00 per hour plus commission on every transaction. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.78 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions for a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Processes sales and loan transactions per established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- Employee may be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission PlanThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive detailed information during the interview process.
Additional InformationPayrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Employees are required to agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.
