Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions while handling a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Executes sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers, showing respect and effective communication.
• Assists in creating a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of performing duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be required to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview process. Pay rates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
