Position: Central Market Fort Worth Parking Lot Attendant - Part-Time

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Packages customer purchases efficiently and accurately.
  • Assists customers in carrying out their purchases and answering product questions.
  • Engages customers in discussions about taste profiles, complementary items, and suggested preparation techniques.
  • May be required to return merchandise to shelves.
  • Provides fast, friendly service with a smile.
  • Directs CSAs in the parking lot.
  • Nests baskets in corals and brings them to the front to keep baskets off the lot.
  • Ensures ample baskets are available at all entrances for customers to shop.
  • Assists customers in unloading merchandise to their vehicle and carrying outs.
  • Ensures Sani‑Wipes are available for customers to use.
  • Communicates parking lot issues to the Service Manager and Director.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Kids Carts, Electric Carts, and Infant seats.
  • Charges Electric Carts and ensures they are in working condition.
  • Provides water to customers.
  • Walks the parking lot searching for abandoned shopping carts.
  • Involves others when necessary to address customer needs.
Requirements
  • Typically requires 0–2 years of experience. No prior experience or training required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Speaks clearly and concisely.
  • Adaptably manages shifting or competing priorities.
  • Stays focused despite interruptions.
  • Remains calm and reasonable in intense or stressful situations.
  • Follows accepted guidelines, rules, and procedures in actions.
  • Possesses good customer service skills.
  • Completes all necessary training courses and models.
  • Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical requirements:

    lifts and carries moderately heavy loads; bends, kneels, reaches, squats, pushes, and pulls.
  • Maintains a high level of productivity and efficiency standards—standing for a maximum of 3 hours.
