Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$13.00 to $19.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.56 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The role supports day-to-day store operations, promotes a positive environment, partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

The role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met, participates in asset protection, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a store-performance bonus. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Protect assets through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes for inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Occasional outdoor assistance in parking lots or exterior storage areas may be required.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
