Inventory Control Supervisor
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you'll be overseeing all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked. You'll walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and partner closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You'll also communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
Your role includes monitoring donations, managing grocery and non‑perishable inventories, and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment. If you're detail-oriented, tech‑savvy, and thrive in a fast‑paced setting, this role offers a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to store operations.
- Inventory Management Skills
:
Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment. - Technical Proficiency
:
Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems. - Attention to Detail
:
Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately. - Organizational Skills
:
Strong ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas. - Problem‑Solving Ability
:
Capable of making decisions independently and resolving issues related to inventory and deliveries. - Communication Skills
:
Effective interaction with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates. - Physical Capability
:
Ability to lift/carry 550 lbs., push/pull 1050 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods. - Customer Service Orientation
