Customer Service Assistant
As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll package groceries and help customers transport their purchases from the Store to their vehicles. Key responsibilities include assisting in unloading merchandise from baskets, packaging groceries, and helping customers in transporting and unloading groceries to their vehicles. Additionally, you will assist customers in locating merchandise, gather baskets and pick up trash inside and outside the Store, maintain and stock bag areas, return products to proper locations, stock and stage bags, stock check stand supplies, distribute Buddy bucks to registers, replace anti-fatigue mats, perform carts and parts basket relocation and power-washing basket relocation for department setup, and perform red basket fill up/retrieval.
You will also clean, mop, dust, sweep, and vacuum the check stand area, Return Center, and CCO area to maintain Store cleanliness and safety.
Qualifications and key requirements include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work with customers and stay attentive to their needs, and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency standards. Education requirements include completion of Company Orientation and Basics of Safety training upon hire. Physical demands include functioning in a fast-paced, retail environment, working with customers, staying attentive to their needs, constantly reaching at waist, grasping, frequently standing, walking, occasionally reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, reaching at floor, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, pushing/pulling with arms, pinching, and performing fine motor movements.
You will occasionally be exposed to cold, hot, loud noises, ambient temperatures, and wet conditions. You must demonstrate the ability to lift 55 lbs, and manage more than 55 lbs (up to 100 lbs). It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and/or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
