Position Overview /SummaryThe Sales Associate generates and follows sales leads for all company products. They are responsible for cultivating relationships and promoting products with current customers.
Essential Job Functions- Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue
- Handles incoming calls and emails from subscribers and potential subscribers including standard customer service needs
- Handles incoming sales leads to generate more revenue for the company
- Makes "cold calls" to potential clients about reports we could provide them
- Prospecting for potential new clients and then following up with a personal visit
- Ensures that all goods and services meet the client's needs
- Performs a variety of office administrative work
- Directs others and offers advice on certain projects
- Works under general supervision within a team
- May answer internal or external customer questions or respond to requests
- Keeps supervisor or manager apprised of all work related projects for approval
- Handles incoming sales emails and responds within a timely manner to existing and potential clients
- Preferred Education
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- 2 years experience in a direct sales environment
- Requires creative and problem solving skills
- Experience with group or individual sales calls
- Extensive knowledge of company products and pricing
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent etiquette skills over the phone
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently
- Must be computer literate
- Must maintain and secure sensitive/confidential information
- Ability to oversee client accounts and aid in developing revenue streams
- Good research skills with results-oriented/deadline driven mindset and self motivated
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Strong attention to detail and solid organization and time management skills
- Able to multi-task well
- Reports to Manager
- Interacts with colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities
- Regular interaction with clients and potential clients
- Little travel is expected with this position
