- Drive new business growth by developing strategic relationships and winning commercial customers in a high-potential territory.
- Expand existing accounts by identifying upsell, add-on, amendment, and system upgrade opportunities.
- Own your territory by building call plans, prospecting strategies, and a disciplined pipeline management process.
- Represent Johnson Controls Security as a trusted resource for integrated security solutions.
- Deliver a strong customer experience through post-installation follow-up and ongoing engagement that supports satisfaction and retention.
- Generate referrals and new opportunities through Centers of Influence, partnerships, and customer relationships.
- Maintain deep product knowledge and stay current on evolving customer needs and market trends.
- Take ownership of your territory with accountability, integrity, and a strong focus on safety while keeping your activity aligned to revenue goals and customer outcomes.
- Stay close to the work and remove obstacles for customers by listening carefully, responding quickly, and following through after installation to support lasting relationships.
- Improve every day through candor, preparation, and problem-solving as you refine your messaging, strengthen product knowledge, and learn from every customer interaction.
- Win as one team by collaborating across the business, building trust with partners, and using diverse perspectives to move opportunities forward.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage senior-level decision makers.
- Ability to manage a full sales cycle independently.
- Local travel within the assigned territory.
- 2+ years of successful commercial sales experience in security, technology, or IT.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- College degree.
- Competitive salary range of $64K-$80K, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
- A competitive Sales Incentive Plan that considers project, quarterly, and annual margin.

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55k-75k (Salary to be determined by the education,experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes acompetitive benefits package.
