Summary of Position
The Regional Territory Manager is responsible for the attainment of established territory objectives and expectations through the successful implementation of territory management skill set and responsibilities at Corrosion Materials - Houston Branch.
Responsibilities and DutiesAs a minimum, the followingis a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Regional Territory Manager. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject tochange as the needs of the organization require.
- Functionwell as a self-motivated entrepreneur with little day to day management.
- Secureprofitable business by creating greater customer value than the competition.
- Compileleads, research, and solicit prospective customers.
- Effectively communicate throughoutassigned territory to acquire complete knowledge of the available markets and opportunities available.
- Call on established and prospective customers, relaying information to and soliciting information from the samecustomers.
- Obtain transactional orders, long-termand short-term contracts along with pursuing all opportunities from existing and prospect customers, including the follow up of existing quotations.
- Work to meet the established goals of assigned territory for both existing and targeted accounts as well as work togrow territory in accordance with the expected growth levels of the branch.
- Inform customers of CMI's productcapabilities and discuss how they fit within the established buying patterns ofthe customers.
- Work with Inside Sales Representatives to maintain and grow established account base and focus on targetaccounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts at all established and prospect accounts within assigned territory.
- Providecall reports and vendor reports to Sales Manager weekly, as well as a monthlysummary.
- Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with other Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales and management.
- Submitexpense reports and other departmental expenses to Sales Manager in a timely manner for approval.
- Adhereto all CMI's safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Adhere to all CMI's handbook policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Threeor more years of experience in sales
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
