The Position

Missions:

Within a multidisciplinary team (phytoecology, botany, zoology) and under the responsibility of the Agency Director, your missions will be:

  • Management of studies (ecological, impact, territorial, technical expertise): elaboration of phasing and budget, supervision of study managers, project meetings (steering committees, follow-ups, etc.), writing deliverables;
  • Management of field phases, particularly the realization of fauna inventories: supervision of study managers on site, coordination with external providers and partners, and logistical organization of projects;
  • Animation of relations with partners (service companies, natural spaces conservators, local authorities, etc.) and clients;
  • Participation in commercial initiatives as needed.
Profile Sought

Profile and skills:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in ecology (in university, forestry, or agro) ;

  • Experience:

    At least 5 years of professional experience (excluding internships) in expertise and coordination of ecological studies, preferably in a study office;

  • Good practice in impact studies and other environmental studies;

  • Good knowledge of environmental actors;

  • Good knowledge of regional fauna and/or flora would be appreciated;

  • Experience in coordinating project teams (managerial skills) and client relations;

  • Good writing skills, analytical and synthesis skills;

  • Diligence, autonomy, organizational skills, ability to work in a team, ease in meetings;

  • Mastery of IT (minimum: Word, Excel...) and GIS tools, Autocad, Illustrator skills appreciated;

  • Holder of driving license

→ We are looking for a naturalist (someone who has practiced extensively in the past (recently) or still practices with a minimum of sharp skills in ornithology), who knows well the ecology of species globally, who masters inventory techniques and who is able to prioritize ecological issues. → Skills in bats would be a plus. → Ideally, we would like a collaborator who masters the subject of wind energy at a minimum, and possibly large-scale projects such as linear infrastructures.

  • Full-time (35 hours agreement), permanent contract, managerial status;
