Metals Lab Utility Associate - Part-Time

Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metals Lab Utility Associate to join our team on a part-time basis. This role supports the daily operations of our metals testing laboratory located in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have mechanical ability, a willingness to perform a variety of tasks, and a strong attention to detail in an environmentally controlled lab setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of the metals testing lab.
- Support lab technicians by preparing materials and equipment for testing procedures.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of the lab to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Handle and transport metal samples and testing materials as needed.
- Operate basic mechanical tools and equipment to assist with lab tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with environmental controls within the lab.
- Be willing to get hands‑on and occasionally work in conditions that may involve dirt or grease.
- Part-time availability with flexible scheduling.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining lab standards.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced, environmentally controlled lab setting.
- Willingness to get dirty and engage in physical work as required.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
