Learn more:  As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to client personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage distribution location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including dock doors, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

+ Monitor access points and loading and receiving activity by observing, verifying credentials when required, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual conditions according to post orders.

+ Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover to support continuity of security-related operations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
