The Visitor Control Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all visitors at the WCF Processing Center. This role is responsible for processing Visitor Access Requests (VARs), issuing temporary visitor badges, maintaining accurate badge inventories, and ensuring all access is granted only to authorized individuals. The position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict timeliness and security standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Process Visitor Access Requests (VARs) and issue temporary visitor badges within 5 minutes of arrival.
- Maintain daily badge inventory and reset default access at the end of each shift.
- Verify identities and ensure only authorized individuals are granted entry.
- Document and report any access discrepancies, violations, or security concerns.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while enforcing security protocols.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain access control records.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of access control and perimeter security procedures
- Knowledge of identity verification and visitor authorization processes (VAR)
- Strong customer service and professional communication skills
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
- Ability to follow strict security procedures consistently
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-traffic or high-pressure situations
Experience:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication
- 3-5 years of experience in visitor and access control.
- Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and use of access control systems.
HS Diploma, or equivalent
