Work location:

Texas Health Southwest 6100 Harris Parkway, TX 76132.

Work hours:

Full-Time, Evening shifts.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a closely related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of healthcare or education experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, Class C, and insurable.
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer, Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred.
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer, Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required.
• Taser certification within 60 days of hire required (two attempts permitted within sixty days); annual recertification required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training upon hire required.
• Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention (ACPI) training within 6 months of hire required.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire required.
• ACPI training within 12 months of hire required.
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

• Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas for after‑hour entry.
• Lock and open doors according to schedules.
• Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from the property.
• Enforce campus parking policies and issue citations.
• Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
• Fill out incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
• Give directions to areas of the facility.
• Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol interior and perimeter of campus and parking.
