Fire Department Captain – Level 3 (Security Clearance Required)
We are seeking an experienced Fire Service Professional who is eligible for a security clearance to lead our Fort Worth fire service team. The incumbent will supervise firefighters, oversee the inspection and maintenance of all tools, equipment, vehicles, and station facilities, and safely and effectively direct response operations for structural fires, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF), hazardous material incidents, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and technical rescues.
In addition, the captain will provide fire service support for F‑35 production activities, assist in managing day‑to‑day shift operations under the direction of the on‑duty Battalion Chief, command incidents, and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
This role typically requires five to ten years of professional firefighting or fire service leadership experience and will be assigned to a rotating 48/96 schedule.
Basic Qualifications- Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP), International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Pro‑Board equivalent certification
- Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Certification
- Fire Officer I
- Fire Instructor I
- Texas Department of State Health Services or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
- Emergency Medical Technician Certification or higher level of certification
- TCFP / IFSAC / Pro‑Board
- Airport Firefighter
- Hazardous Materials Technician

- Driver Operator ARFF
- Fire Officer II
- Fire Instructor II

- Rope Rescue Technician

This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Clearance level:
Secret.
