Summary:

** Salary: $21.71 - $27.14 per hour    The Facility Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of water district buildings, and structures.
** Job Description
**** Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Perform tasks, such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and other general maintenance on TRWD buildings, structures, and grounds
* Transporting materials and equipment for maintenance projects
* Responsible for the start and finish of assigned projects including, but not limited to, leading work crews and identifying materials and labor needed
* Perform data entry for work orders and for timekeeping
* Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
* Interact and coordinate with other TRWD personnel
* After hours Emergency Response
* Participate in an on-call rotation
* Report maintenance or structural issues to department supervisor
* Participate in applicable condition assessments
* Maintain familiarity with strategic district levels of service
* Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
* Identify training budget needs
* Performance review alignment

* Perform other duties as required

* Required Experience:

*** Four (4) years of facility maintenance or a related field
* Ability to identify materials and labor necessary for an assigned task or project
* Ability to lead others and be responsible for the start and finish of assigned projects
** Desired

Experience:

*** Six (6) years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field
* Participation in a building trade apprenticeship or equivalent
** Required Education/Certification/License:
*** Valid Texas driver’s license
* High school diploma or GED
** Desired Education/Certification/License:
*** Trade school accreditations totaling two (2) years in a related field
* Associate degree or equivalent
