Position: CDL Driver / Laborer – Fort Worth

Overview

Job title:

Common Laborer with highway construction experience. The role supports workers on construction sites with a range of physical labor tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Able to operate hand tools and power tools of all types
  • Able to listen, understand, and follow directions
  • Able to learn how to haul, operate, load and unload construction equipment
  • Able to dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
  • Able to set up traffic control devices such as cones, signs and barricades, etc.
  • Help to maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned
  • Regular and timely attendance
Qualifications
  • Ability to learn how to operate basic construction equipment
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check with minimal infractions
  • Must be able to pass a physical
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime, weekends and nights as needed and out of town
  • Must always wear all proper PPE required in the field
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
  • Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations and heights
  • Exposure to prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crawling and climbing
  • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities
