Position Responsibilities- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation systems—electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical—including sensors, transmitters, analyzers, valves, and controllers.
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, ladder logic, and SCADA/HMI systems; assist with control loop tuning and program modifications in coordination with Controls Engineers.
- Perform electromechanical maintenance, including diagnosing, repairing, and replacing motors, wiring, switches, relays, and other components as needed.
- Replace worn or defective instrumentation and control parts to restore system reliability.
- Work within the CMMS (SAP) to create, update, and close work orders; enter detailed notes, parts used, and confirm labor time.
- Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and instrument drawings to support accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration tasks using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, loop calibrators, and oscilloscopes.
- Monitor system performance, log data, and maintain compliance with company and industry standards.
- Document calibration results, program changes, and maintenance activities; maintain accurate records in SAP.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers on automation projects, system upgrades, and root cause analysis for reliability improvements.
- Support commissioning, outages, and maintenance planning for I&C systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety protocols.
- 2+ years proven experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician or equivalent industrial role.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and control systems programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred), including work order management and documentation.
- Proficiency with instrumentation calibration tools and electromechanical diagnostic equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to collaborate across engineering, operations, and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a startup or growth environment.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement.
