Conducts maintenance functions in a proactive, efficient manner by effectively performing all maintenance tasks including intermediate and specialized installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs for buildings, building systems (e.g., lighting, electrical, plumbing), internal infrastructure (e.g., general furniture repairs and installations), and warehouse automated equipment. Also, assists senior staff with more complex repairs.
Assists in developing the skills of the more junior facility staff (Facilities Assistant II and Facilities Technician - Level I & II) by providing on the job guidance as needed.
Maintains clean warehouse environment in an efficient manner by dumping trash daily at all workstations and by sweeping entire warehouse including workstations.
Assists with eliminating safety hazards by continually evaluating work environment for safety issues and performing needed repairs.
Maintains warehouse shelving by performing necessary construction and repairs.
Completes additional duties and projects as directed by reviewing request with manager and appropriately carrying out request.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Five plus years of facility maintenance experience preferred. Two plus years of experience in warehouse automated equipment repair preferred. Must be proficient in at least one building trade- HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing or Welding.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Ability to perform intermediate level maintenance functions independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read English and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and follow work instructions.
- Ability to understand liquid measurements.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, squat, reach, bend, and climb (e.g., ladders, lifts, etc.) on a regular basis for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques.
