Position: Facilities Technician III (8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.) Monday - Thursday 5504

Responsibilities

  • Conducts maintenance functions in a proactive, efficient manner, performing all maintenance tasks including intermediate and specialized installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs for buildings, building systems such as lighting, electrical, plumbing, internal infrastructure (furniture repairs and installations), and warehouse automated equipment; assists senior staff with more complex repairs.
  • Assists in developing the skills of junior facility staff (Facilities Assistant II and Facilities Technician – Level I & II) by providing on-the-job guidance as needed.
  • Maintains a clean warehouse environment efficiently by dumping trash daily at all workstations and sweeping the entire warehouse, including workstations.
  • Eliminates safety hazards by continually evaluating the work environment for safety issues and performing needed repairs.
  • Maintains warehouse shelving by performing necessary construction and repairs.
  • Completes additional duties and projects as directed, reviewing requests with a manager and appropriately carrying out the request.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Five or more years of facility maintenance experience preferred. Two or more years of experience in warehouse automated equipment repair preferred. Must be proficient in at least one building trade – HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Welding.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, squat, reach, bend, and climb (e.g., ladders, lifts) on a regular basis for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to work in high locations (e.g., roofs, on ladders).
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in small or difficult spaces.
  • Ability to work unexpected shifts/hours due to business requirements.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, a safe driving record, and be insurable by the company’s liability carrier.
  • Ability to use general mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment (e.g., drill press, power saws).
  • Ability to pass an in‑house examination and operate material handling equipment (e.g., carts, forklift, pallet jack rider, stock chaser).
  • Must arrive on time to work scheduled hours and complete assigned tasks.
