** Job Summary*
* ** Summary** : The Electrician Apprentice Technician performs a variety of Electrician maintenance duties, and is assigned to work for an Electrician Senior Technician on a regular basis. The Electrician Apprentice associate is in an apprentice program guided by his project manager, mentor, supervisor and apprentice training committee.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*
* + Reads and interprets blueprints, panel schedules, symbols, and branch circuitry to complete installations accurately.
+ Follows the basic methods of protection when wiring electrical installations.
+ Assists with pulling wire, lifting, hoisting, and positioning materials during electrical installations.
+ Identifies a list of the safety practices required in an electrical work area.
+ Demonstrates knowledge about the importance of a clear working space around electrical equipment.
+ Delegates tasks to helpers and monitors completion of assigned work.
+ Maintains updated prints and RFI documents for assigned projects.
+ Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed.
+ Communicates project progress, material needs, and jobsite concerns with field leadership.
+ Organizes tools, equipment, and materials while maintaining a clean and safe work area..
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
** Qualifications** :
+ Experience as a Maintenance Utility Worker or Technician occupation.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Is registered in an Electrician Apprentice Program with USDOL.
+ Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
+ Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.

* + Some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt and/or areas requiring infection control. Requires meeting deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis. Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.
