Position Title: Pipeline Skilled Laborer

We seek a detail-oriented, safety sensitive, driven Pipeline Skilled Laborer to join our growing team. As a Skilled Laborer, daily work will involve installation of natural gas Pipelines and facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities- Installation of new steel gas mains and facilities
- Sand blast, coat, bolt up with knowledge of torque specifications, space pipe and be familiar with high pressure testing
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, observation, and other methods
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repairs according to specifications listed on blueprints
- Drive commercial vehicles equipped to transport a variety of materials and equipment
- Ensure the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance
- Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
- Works safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks
- Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Complete daily paperwork in an accurate manner
- Commitment to safety in all work
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, grasp, push, pull and reach on a frequent basis throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Required to travel out of town to work on projects of varying length approximately 10% of the time
- CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement preferred
- Valid DOT Medical Card required
- 2-3 years of experience in the construction and gas pipeline industry
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment
- Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen
