Under general supervision, perform skilled work in construction, alteration, repair, and installation of fixtures, buildings, and structures throughout the district. To help maintain the physical school plant in a safe and attractive condition for operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license (Meet eligibility requirements to drive a district vehicle)
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams
- Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in carpentry
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to measure and performance mathematical computations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to estimate materials
- Minimum of five years of successful experience in repair, remodeling and new construction
