Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Schedule

- Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
- Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer‑based documents according to established procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, and more.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities (e.g., bathrooms, plumbing).
- Read and understand technical drawings such as blueprints and electronic/mechanical schematics to repair and maintain equipment.
- Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including removal and replacement of battery retention plates.
- Inspect, clean, and repair industrial equipment batteries according to procedures (e.g., tips, contacts, cables).
- Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.

- 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment) OR coursework or certification in industrial maintenance, electronics, electrical, mechanical automation, mechatronics, or related areas.
- Experience in blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Coursework or certification in welding, electrical, mechanical automation, or industrial electronics.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.55 – $39.05. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
