Job SummaryResponsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on semi‑truck trailers and tractors. Tasks include brake adjustments, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, structural repairs, and more, while operating out of a service truck and strictly following safety regulations. Work adheres to DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards, and involves documenting all maintenance and labor in maintenance management software.

- Weekly Pay
- Shift differential for overnight shift (10 PM – 6 AM)
- Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
- Perform annual/systematic 90‑day inspections of trailers as required.
- Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
- Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and shop.
- Identify parts and supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies, including hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Use welding equipment when necessary.
- Work the overnight shift (10 PM – 6 AM) with shift differential.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational school education.
- At least 1 year of related experience required.
- Full‑time position;
Monday through Friday (hours vary by location). - Overnight shift (10 PM – 6 AM) with shift differential.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to fit into a 20‑inch cargo trailer dome opening.
- Ability to meet safety standards for fall protection harness – max weight 310 lbs (includes PPE).
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand for long periods.
- Walk for long periods.
- Bend or twist the body.
- Notice differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
