Job Description
The Plumber Trade Worker will serve as a key contributor on active commercial construction jobsites, supporting licensed plumbers, foremen, and superintendents in the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role where every day brings new challenges and real opportunities to develop your craft. You will work on a diverse mix of projects ranging from small tenant finish-outs to large-scale commercial developments, gaining experience across a wide variety of plumbing systems and jobsite environments.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with field leadership to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards, and uphold a safe working environment. Your contributions will directly impact project timelines and customer satisfaction, making this a position where your work truly matters. Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste, vent systems, storm drain systems, and underground piping.
- Support layout and installation of piping, fixtures, valves, hangers, and plumbing equipment according to project drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents under supervision.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and secure pipes using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with testing plumbing systems for leaks and functionality.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment at jobsites.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Work alongside field leadership to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, superintendents, and fellow team members.
- Follow all company safety procedures including proper use of PPE and equipment.
- Participate in training opportunities to continue developing plumbing trade skills.
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial plumbing or construction experience.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and jobsite safety protocols.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the plumbing trade.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
