Maintenance Technician II – Mechanical & Robotics
This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment in a fast-paced facility. You will apply your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to keep complex systems running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
- Perform corrective maintenance on material handling equipment and pneumatic systems to resolve issues and restore functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities on mechanical and electrical systems to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults using diagnostic tools, schematics, and blueprints to identify root causes.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns, and take timely corrective action.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to perform accurate repairs and installations.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to prioritize tasks and minimize impact on production.
- Follow established safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices while working on equipment and systems.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience performing maintenance repairs on industrial or material handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to assemble, disassemble, and repair mechanical components.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems as they relate to industrial equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production or distribution equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when diagnosing problems and completing repairs.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery, electrical systems, and pneumatic equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with automated material handling systems and robotics is a plus.
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and operations staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to equipment issues.

Work Environment
You will work in a large, automated distribution facility that operates at a high pace and relies on advanced material handling, pneumatic, and robotic systems. The role involves hands-on work around conveyors, automated packaging equipment, and other industrial machinery. You can expect a mix of routine preventive maintenance and urgent troubleshooting tasks, often requiring standing, walking, climbing, and working in and around equipment.
Work hours may include shifts, weekends, or overtime depending on operational needs. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety while working near moving machinery and electrical and pneumatic systems.

This is a contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
