K&H Truckweld is seeking a skilled Dump Body Installation Mechanic to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, are detail-oriented, and are committed to delivering high-quality results. As a Dump Body Installation Mechanic, you will play a key role installing and repairing dump bodies and related truck equipment. You will work in a collaborative shop environment where your expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems will be highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Install and repair dump bodies, flat beds, power take-off (PTO) systems, auxiliary lighting systems, toolboxes, and hitches on commercial vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform basic fabrication tasks, including MIG welding, plasma torch cutting, grinding, drilling, measuring, and fabricating components as needed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Follow detailed instructions and maintain a high standard of quality in all work performed.
  • Maintain a safeand organized work environment in the shop.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in the industry or related mechanical work.
  • Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems and mobile hydraulic systems (including PTOs and pumps).
  • Experience with MIG welding and basic fabrication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools required for the job.
  • Must be punctual and able to stay on task to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Two professional references from a recent employer, shop lead, foreman, or manager are required.
