Overview

Delivering high-quality custom and standard training to AVO Training Institute customers. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, directing hands‑on laboratory requirements, leading and moderating classroom discussions, administering and grading examinations, and improving existing training courses using NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, ASTM, and OSHA standards.

• Prepare and deliver lectures and training sessions
• Direct hands‑on laboratory work
• Lead and moderate classroom discussions
• Administer and grade examinations
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in training delivery and course improvement
• Develop new training programs to accommodate customer requirements and increase profitability

• 10 years of instruction/teaching or experience in training seminars or formal courses in an adult education environment (preferred)
• Journeyman or Master’s electrical license (preferred)
• 15 years of low‑voltage industrial, residential and electronic installation/troubleshooting experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with basic tools and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe
• Strong communication and customer‑relationship skills
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic theory, electrical terms for installations, wiring methods, sizing circuits and devices for motors
• Knowledge of electric motor controls, relay control schemes, PLCs, motor drives, and LV & MV motor components and controls
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints, one‑line diagrams, symbols, and circuit breaker technical details
• Knowledge of over‑current protection, voltage drop, neutral load, and related calculations
• Knowledge of electrical shock and flash hazards, safe work procedures, and PPE
• Valid driver’s license and passport (required)
