Resicum International LLC is seeking highly qualified Aircraft Mechanic III
- Egress
personnel to support organizational-level maintenance operations for VMFA-112 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS JRB) Fort Worth, Texas
.

This senior-level position serves as the technical expert for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and operational testing of F/A-18 aircraft egress systems across multiple aircraft variants. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership to maintenance personnel while ensuring all egress system maintenance is performed safely, accurately, and in full compliance with NAVAIR maintenance procedures, technical publications, explosive safety requirements, and quality assurance standards.

Position Summary

The Aircraft Mechanic III
- Egress is responsible for performing and supervising organizational-level maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft with primary responsibility for aircraft egress systems. This position serves as the subject matter expert for ejection seats, canopy systems, escape systems, and associated explosive devices while providing technical leadership, mentoring junior mechanics, and ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely and mission capable.

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Aircraft Mechanic I, II, and III personnel.
  • Perform, supervise, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, remove, and operationally test aircraft egress systems.
  • Maintain aircraft ejection seats, canopies, canopy jettison systems, escape hatches, sequencing systems, initiators, explosive devices, ballistic components, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Safely de-arm, configure, inspect, maintain, and restore aircraft egress systems in accordance with approved technical publications and explosive safety procedures.
  • Diagnose aircraft electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical discrepancies using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, maintenance publications, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Utilize electrical circuitry analyzers, leak detectors, voltmeters, hydraulic test equipment, torque wrenches, cable tensiometers, dial indicators, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems.
  • Remove, replace, rig, adjust, align, modify, install, and operationally test aircraft egress components following maintenance actions.
  • Conduct operational, functional, and simulated system tests to verify aircraft serviceability and mission readiness.
  • Perform maintenance on aircraft structures, flight controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fuel systems, and mechanical components as required to support egress system maintenance.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), wiring diagrams, manufacturer publications, and technical directives to resolve complex maintenance discrepancies.
  • Plan maintenance sequences and prioritize workloads to support aircraft availability and production schedules.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation, discrepancy reports, maintenance action forms, inspection records, and aircraft logbook entries accurately and in accordance with Navy maintenance documentation requirements.
