  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers’ commercial tractors and trailers
  • Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard work
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
  • Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
  • Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
  • Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Test systems and equipment for performance issues

    Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
  • Respond to client queries as soon as possible
  • Work 12-hour shifts with an on-call rotation while remaining available for service calls
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as an experienced mobile diesel mechanic, based on the stated starting pay amount
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers
  • Experience inspecting and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance for fleet semi-trucks and trailers
  • Ability to maintain, adjust, and replace hubs and axles
  • Ability to inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
  • Knowledge of brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to test systems and equipment for performance issues
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
  • Ability to write detailed work orders and compile inspection reports
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in an on-call rotation
