Position Summary
The Dyna Ten Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects and will manage project needs including materials, personnel, schedules, and communication with project management teams, customers, and building officials.
Location:
DFW.
- Good knowledge of the trade to ensure a quality project, a positive attitude, and represents Dyna Ten in a professional manner to our customers and employees.
- Working knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings), and in‑house shop drawings; and ability to utilize these documents to coordinate work on site with other trades.
- Complete required electronic documentation and diligently process daily reports, next‑week plans, accurate as‑built drawings, accident reports, and disciplinary reports.
- Run and manage large‑scale commercial plumbing/piping/sheet metal/insulation construction projects and oversee multiple job sites simultaneously.
- Proven experience managing multiple crews from foreman to apprentice personnel.
- Plan ahead, understand the flow of the project, and communicate with the operations or project manager on current or future labor needed.
- Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment on job sites.
- Understand and comply with company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees.
- Install systems and related materials with hand tools and power tools as needed.
- Attend weekly job‑site meetings and represent Dyna Ten on project schedules and work execution.
- Conduct safety meetings, safety audits and continuously help the job site avoid harmful, unsafe acts and situations.
- Work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights. Walk project sites daily.
- Lead a crew of up to 40 installers at multiple job sites.
- Know company policies and procedures and maintain them with all employees under supervision at all times.
- Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
- 5 years of experience running and managing commercial plumbing construction projects.
- Supervision of projects ranging from $2M to $8M+ in value.
- Experience overseeing job‑site personnel – foreman through apprentice/helpers.
- Experience completing required documentation electronically.
- Master license in trade in corresponding state preferred.
- OSHA
30‑hour required.
- Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
- Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude.
- Initiative; self‑motivated, self‑starter.
- Complies and promotes company Safety Policy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team, including teaching and coaching.
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 80lbs.
- Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings and other equipment layout materials.
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
- Ability to pass MVR check.
- Ability to pass a physical ability test.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects.
