AV Installation Superintendent

The AV Installation Superintendent is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and successful completion of audio-visual installation projects across various client sites, including corporate offices,educational institutions, event venues, and entertainment facilities. This role blends technical expertise with strong leadership, ensuring that all AV systems are installed, maintained, and operated to meet clientspecifications, company quality standards, and project timelines. Superintendent serves as the primary fieldleaderdirecting technicians, managing resources, and acting as the point of contact between field teams,project managers, and clients.

• Coordinate with project managers/clients to confirm system requirements.
• Supervise installation of AV equipment: displays, projectors, sound systems, microphones, cameras, and control systems.
• Ensure proper cable management, infrastructure integration, and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee AV operation during events and meetings, conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, andoptimizations.
• Lead, train, and supervise AV technicians; assign tasks, coordinate scheduling, manage priorities, and monitor performance.
• Maintain a collaborative work environment and promote professional development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory, service records, and as-built documentation.
• Provide progress reports and performance metrics to management.

• Bachelor’s degree in AV Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
• Proven AV installation, operation, and maintenance experience, with supervisory background preferred.
• Proficiency with AV systems and control platforms (Crestron, Extron, QSC).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations.
