Position: Journeyman Pipefitter/ Foreman

Journeyman Pipefitter / Foreman

This role supports long-term commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the DFW Metroplex, including hospitals, medical centers, universities, data centers, manufacturing facilities, and large-scale commercial developments. You install, fabricate, and assemble process piping, chilled water, hot water, HVAC, and mechanical piping systems while working from blueprints and project specifications. Foreman-level candidates also lead teams and coordinate project execution to meet schedule and quality requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and other piping systems on commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute piping installations.
  • Lay out, measure, cut, fit, thread, groove, and assemble piping systems according to design and industry standards.
  • Install hangers, supports, valves, pumps, and related mechanical equipment to complete piping assemblies.
  • Perform equipment setting and tie-ins to existing systems and ensure proper integration and function.
  • Assist with pressure testing, system flushing, and startup procedures to verify performance and safety.
  • Coordinate work with other trades, project teams, and site leadership to maintain efficient workflows.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and productivity expectations.
  • Follow all company, client, and OSHA safety requirements and promote a safe work environment on site.
  • For lead/foreman roles, supervise and lead a team of 5 or more workers on active projects.
  • For lead/foreman roles, manage work on complex facilities such as hospitals, universities, data centers, manufacturing plants, and large commercial developments.
  • For lead/foreman roles, assist with scheduling, manpower planning, and productivity tracking to keep projects on schedule.
Essential Skills
  • At least 5 years of commercial or industrial pipe fitting experience.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping systems.
  • Strong knowledge of piping installation methods, safety practices, and relevant industry standards.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, process piping, chilled water, hot water, and hydronic systems.
  • Proficiency in plumbing and mechanical installation within commercial and industrial environments.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work overtime as needed.
  • For lead/foreman level, experience leading a team of 5 or more workers.
  • For lead/foreman level, experience managing work on hospitals, universities, data centers, manufacturing facilities, or large commercial projects.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with copper piping, brazing, soldering, and general construction practices.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • NCCER Certification or completion of an apprenticeship program (preferred).
  • Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, and productivity tracking.
  • Comfort working across multiple commercial and light industrial job sites.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with other trades and project stakeholders.

Work Environment

Work takes place on commercial and light industrial construction job sites across the DFW Metroplex, with an immediate project located at a university campus in Fort Worth. You may be asked to travel to other job locations with the lead worker, and mileage reimbursement is provided after the first job, with additional mileage applied when the first job site is 30 miles or more from the central shop in Carrollton.
