Fiber Technician / Cable Techs
Siter-Neubauer & Associates is currently conducting searches for Fiber Technicians or Cable Techs to assist with fiber testing (no splicing) at data centers across the U.S. This is a travel-based role with assignments that typically run up to two weeks at a time. You'll work hands-on with tools like OTDRs and power meters to test and verify dark fiber connections—no splicing required.
If you have basic experience with cable, low-voltage, or electronics, and you're open to life on the road, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain field experience and grow in the fiber optics space. Training provided.
Responsibilities:- Test dark fiber inside major U.S. data centers
- Travel to various job sites across the U.S.
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Experience in cable, low-voltage, or electronics preferred
- Comfortable using test tools (OTDR, power meter, etc.)
- Able to read labels, trace fiber, and identify server racks
- Must be able to work independently in the field
- Valid U.S. driver's license; able to pass drug and background checks
- Per diem for meals
- Hourly pay, paid weekly.
