Maintenance Tech III

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations within a corrugated box manufacturing environment. This position supports both preventive and corrective maintenance activities and works closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on corrugated converting and finishing equipment, including flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and other production machinery.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; repair and replace components as needed.

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to troubleshoot and repair systems.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in the maintenance tracking system.

Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications to improve production efficiency.

Monitor and maintain plant utilities including compressors, air systems, and electrical distribution.

Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and OSHA regulations.

Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.

Minimum of 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; corrugated packaging industry experience strongly preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V.Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment preferred (Allen-Bradley experience a plus).Proficient in reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

Must have basic computer skills for work order entry and documentation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
