Aviation Mechanic

The Aviation Mechanic performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine and piston aircraft in a Part 145 repair station environment. This role focuses on ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance by conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and completing accurate maintenance documentation while working collaboratively with a skilled team.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine and piston aircraft in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Conduct detailed inspections in compliance with FAA regulations and internal procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, powerplants, and aircraft components.
• Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately, thoroughly, and within established time frames.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards and guidelines.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to perform maintenance and repairs correctly.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to meet maintenance deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.
• Support phase maintenance, line maintenance, and heavy maintenance activities as needed.
• Perform aircraft systems and component repairs, including work on corporate aircraft and business jets.
• Assist with installation and troubleshooting of electrical and avionics systems when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety practices and procedures.
• Participate in inspections and quality checks to verify work performed and ensure airworthiness.
• Provide input on maintenance issues and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
• Be available to work overtime and some weekends as needed to support operational demands.

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong hands-on aircraft maintenance experience (2+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to conduct inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Experience with business jets or general aviation aircraft strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in aviation maintenance environments.
• Capability to perform phase maintenance, line maintenance, and heavy maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems, engines, and aircraft components, including corporate aircraft and jets.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance team to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
• Possession of own tools is preferred.

• Experience working in a Part 145 repair station is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Bombardier and Falcon or other corporate aircraft platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with inspection authorizations (IA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with avionics systems and avionics troubleshooting.
• Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.
• Prior work as a maintenance technician, powerplant mechanic, or in aircraft repair is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and some weekends as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
