Speech Language Pathologist

Fort Worth - Burleson, TX 76028

Salary Range: $45.00 - $52.00 / Commission

Work Overview:
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist who will be responsible for the delivery of quality patient care according to the patient’s individual physician orders. Patient care may involve evaluations, administering prescribed treatments and therapies, care planning, communication with other members of the patient’s multi‑disciplinary team, emergency management, coordination of care, health promotion, and teaching and training family members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Speech Therapy services as prescribed by the patient’s physician.
  • Provide a written evaluation defining Speech Therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes in conjunction with the referring physician’s plan of treatment.
  • Follow policies and procedures and adhere to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations, and state laws.
  • Develop a written plan of care for Speech Therapy with reasonable goals and outcomes.
  • Maintain and adjust the plan of care as needed for assigned patients according to identified Speech Therapy goals and outcomes.
  • Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
  • Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members, and family.
  • Refer patients when appropriate to additional educational or medical services.
  • Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning) with the health care team, physicians, parents/guardians, nurses, and others.

Requirements
  • Master’s in Speech Language Pathology
  • Experience with pediatric, autistic, and developmentally disabled clients
  • Great customer service skills
