Job SummaryThe Court Reporter performs senior professional level duties on a day-to-day basis to achieve the short- and long-term goals of the work group.
- TO APPLY, must have an Associate’s degree + three (3) full-time years of related work experience. -OR-
- TO APPLY, must have a High School Diploma or GED + five (5) full-time years of related work experience.
- TO APPLY, must have and maintain a current certification by the State of Texas as a certified shorthand reporter (CSR). A CSR license is issued by the Texas Supreme Court upon completion of Court Reporting School and testing by the Texas Court Reporters Certification Board.

Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, lift, push and pull.
