Operations Assistants are responsible for overseeing summer housing groups that are utilizing residence halls and facilities. They are responsible for managing camp and conference operations, including scheduling and coordinating groups arriving to campus and assisting with New Student Orientation Registration Days. They also complete projects assigned by Residence Life Professional Staff.

Responsibilities
  • Attend weekly summer meetings.
  • Manage check-ins and triage issues.
  • Manage communication with all housing groups.
  • Manage placement for all housing groups.
  • Prepare materials and scheduling for all group check-ins, including flyers and keys.
  • Communicate camp dates, needs, and other necessary information to the staff.
  • Work with Residence Life staff on billing regarding camp and conference participants.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, students, camp leaders, and departments organizing housing groups.
  • Work on Facilities projects.
  • Assist with the room key audit, preparation, and inventory.
  • Assist in residence hall key audit.
  • Attend and assist with New Student Orientation Registration Days.
  • Assist in managing Facilities Assistant projects.
  • Note that due to the constant changes to the working environment in this position, additional duties may be added or retracted as needed; the student will be informed of changes.
Experience

Must have and maintain both a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5.

  • Ability to work with a rotating schedule including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed.
