Description

We are Lockheed Martin. You will be a Software Engineer for the Mission Services team within Mission Management Systems for the Advanced Development Program. Our team is within the Mission Control Systems organization under Dynamic Targeting and Surveillance Systems, which uses a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products for Advanced Development Programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer, you will be responsible for all phases of developing backend software solutions for Command and Control Systems through Mission Services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full software lifecycle development to support ground station development for unmanned systems.
  • Generate requirements, system and software design and implementation.
  • Create new performance capabilities and software services for the air vehicle.
  • Resolving change requests and action requests as the software is updated, tested, and integrated.
  • Participating in integration activities that will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include integrated simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience
  • Experience with C++

  • Agile Software Development Methodology and Tools Experience (e.g., Gitlab, Jira, Confluence)
  • Software Development Tools Experience (Visual Studio)
  • Experience in UCI messaging

  • Practical Knowledge and Skills of Messaging Systems (e.g., Active

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret

  • Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week to condensed schedules, providing additional time away from the office in addition to Paid Time off benefits.
  • Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
