Job Overview
The F‑35 Program is searching for a seasoned software manager to lead and manage agile software development teams within the Combat Systems Ground Systems Mission Data Team in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves applying technical standards, principles, and advanced tools to develop solutions for complex F‑35 systems, ensuring adherence to software standards across the development life cycle.
Responsibilities- Lead agile teams of LM Aero software engineers working on Mission Data Team products.
- Coordinate employee work assignments, program staffing, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, selection, and training.
- Make recommendations and decisions on project schedules to avoid cost overruns and missed commitments.
- Establish and execute a strategic plan, including driving software product execution, forecasting, generating metrics, and maximizing tool, process, and product commonality between Aero programs.
- Promote the use of automated toolsets within daily operations to improve efficiency.
- Communicate at all levels internally and externally, delivering presentations and creating actionable plans in a rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in software design, development, or testing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and/or testing software systems.
- Software estimating experience using LM processes.
- Familiarity with LM standard software development processes.
- Experience with modern software development practices and technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development and SCRUM process.
- At least 1 year of technical leadership with increasing responsibility and a minimum of 5 years in software design, development, and/or testing.
- Track record of leading teams to higher performance levels through evolving tools and methods.
This position requires a government security clearance. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.
