Cloud Developer - Fort Worth, TX

Overview

DTS is looking for an experienced Cloud Developer for a client project in Fort Worth, TX. This role is a hands-on position involving design, coding, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, a strong software development background, and the ability to drive the adoption of best practices within the team and across the organization.

The role involves tackling complex engineering challenges, ensuring operational excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, innovative solutions.

• Cloud Architecture & Development: Provide technical guidance to the project team to design the overall solution, architect, design, develop, and implement scalable, highly available cloud-native applications using the Azure cloud platform. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and engineers, conducting code reviews and promoting engineering best practices. (30%)
• Automation & Dev Ops: Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and leverage Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) to automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks.
• Performance & Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability, including managing solutions for operational administration, system backup, and disaster recovery. (30%)
• Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining technical roadmaps, systems capabilities and business processes. Follow all published MBFS processes and procedures. (10%)
• Security & Compliance: Ensure the cloud solutions follow MBFS’s robust security best practices and compliance standards, implementing security controls, IAM policies, and encryption techniques. (10%)
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners and operations teams to translate business requirements into effective cloud-based system designs and facilitate seamless integration of cloud solutions into existing workflows. (20%)

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer/Information Science

• 8+ years of experience delivering using Java, Postgre
  
  SQL, REST APIs, scalable microservices, and Angular.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and managing cloud applications at scale, preferably SPAs using microfront end architecture.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST and/or SOAP).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and serverless architectures is necessary.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform), CI/CD tools (e.g., Git Hub Actions), and observability tools (e.g., Datadog).
