We are Lockheed Martin You will be the Associate Software Engineering Manager for the F-35 Mission Planning Environment (MPE) Software Team. Our team is responsible for developing the Mission Planning Software for the F-35 program. What You Will Be Doing As the Associate Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible guiding a team of engineers through the full software development life cycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that support the F-35 warfighter.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading a team of engineers from software design to delivery
• Fostering a culture of Agile development, promoting continuous improvement and innovation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure product integrity and quality
• Managing team planning, including re-assignments, placements, recruitment, and terminations This role requires exceptional leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline, Software Engineering or Computer Science preferred
• Software Engineering Management or Software Engineering Team Lead experience
• Software development experience
• Agile development experience Desired

Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket) and Gitlab
• Experience with Process Improvement and Affordability initiatives
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD principles
• Experience with Model-Based Engineering (Cameo)
• Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) experience
• Project Management experience
• Experience preparing and delivering briefings to leadership Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
