Safety Critical Software Embedded Software Manager

Position Overview

WHO WE ARE:

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is looking for world-class software engineering talent to lead a team that will carry on an 80-year tradition of advanced aircraft development. You will be responsible for leading a software engineering team in support of next-generation air vehicles, developing subsystems that support current and future aircraft platforms.

You will lead the software development team through the full software development lifecycle, from design and coding to integration, lab and field testing. Your duties include:

• Building, hiring and expanding a high-performing engineering team.
• Managing day-to-day team operations and infrastructure for development and testing.
• Providing technical coaching, mentoring and career development for team members.
• Coordinating recruitment, selection, performance assessment, salary planning and recognition for the team.
• Developing engineering competency and maintaining a strong software process.

Basic Qualifications:

• STEM bachelor's degree
• Background and experience in software development

Desired

Skills:

• Experience in C/C++ software development
• FPGA/ASIC development and integration
• General knowledge of vehicle systems
• Strong software process knowledge
• Experience developing software architectures

This position requires a U.S. citizenship and a government security clearance.

Clearance level:
Secret

Onsite, full-time at a Lockheed Martin facility.

Schedule:

4 x 10-hour days with three days off per week.
