Position: Systems Engineer Senior (Navigation)
Job Description

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer with a focus in Navigation, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT). In this role, you will be performing engineering functions in support of system design, development, integration, production, and sustainment of industry leading navigation systems.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

Knowledgeable in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools

Experience with CNI (Communications, Navigation & Identification) systems to include inertial navigation, GPS/Sat Nav, Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) and other related avionics subsystems.

Knowledge of advanced navigation technologies, navigation sensors, filters and platform integration.

Experience with navigation and/or guidance navigation & control software algorithms and the tools used to complete them.

Desired skills

Experience with design, development, and integration of advanced navigations systems

Experience developing airborne navigation software using Matlab, Python, C/C++. Airworthy flight code development experience is desired.

Experience using digital engineering workflows, tools and methods for system & software deployment

Experience presenting to senior leaders, program management, and external customers

Experience with Military and/or Government programs

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
