Overview
Kentro is interested in connecting with experienced Service Now professionals who are passionate about developing, configuring, and optimizing enterprise workflow solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience. Ideal candidates bring strong technical expertise within the Service Now platform, experience supporting IT service management initiatives, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams in fast-paced environments.
Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Responsibilities- Designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining Service Now applications, modules, and workflows.
- Supporting ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, Sec Ops, or custom Service Now implementations.
- Developing and maintaining Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, or middleware solutions.
- Building workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, catalog items, and automation solutions within the Service Now platform.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Supporting platform upgrades, enhancements, testing, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
- Troubleshooting platform issues, performance concerns, and integration challenges.
- Supporting Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and participating in sprint planning and delivery activities.
- Developing reports, dashboards, and performance analytics within Service Now.
- Managing multiple competing priorities while supporting enterprise or mission‑critical environments.
- Supporting governance, documentation, and Service Now development best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on Service Now development, engineering, or administration experience.
- Experience configuring and customizing the Service Now platform.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, scripting, workflows, and Service Now development best practices.
- Experience with Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Sec Ops, or similar areas.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly polished communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast‑paced environments.
- Active U.S. security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or other Service Now certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise or government environments.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, integrations, and API development.
- Experience with automated workflows, orchestration, or process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service management processes.
- Experience supporting platform governance, CMDB, or asset management initiatives.
