Role OverviewAs a software engineer, you will serve as a software developer for the F‑35 Pilot Systems Software (PSSW), Multi‑Function Display (MFD), and Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) teams. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and integrating real‑time, embedded display software for TR3 and TR2 hardware using C++ and OpenGL within an Agile methodology.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related major
- Experience with C++
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Unix/Linux
- Knowledge of design patterns and programming to an interface
- Experience developing large real‑time embedded software
- Agile/Scrum development experience
- Embedded display experience
- Experience with JSF architecture
- Experience with test automation
- Complete software lifecycle development experience and test philosophies
- CI/CD, pipeline, Dev Sec Ops experience
- OpenGL, VulkanSC, Qt experience
- Python and/or Perl knowledge
- Atlassian collaboration tools
- Experience in fast‑paced virtual environments
- Experience or familiarity with system integration and test
- Team leadership experience
- Mission systems/avionics background
- Detail‑oriented and teamwork oriented
- Experience applying design patterns in C++
- OOA/OOD/OOP knowledge
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.
