AWS Gov Cloud Dev Sec Ops Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking an AWS Gov Cloud Dev Sec Ops Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support the migration of a software development network to an AWS Gov Cloud environment, including CI/CD pipeline implementation and development-environment configuration. The engineer will work extensively with AWS Gov Cloud, Git Lab, Bash, Linux, Python, C++, Nexus, and Artifactory while supporting a highly collaborative software development team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or another STEM discipline with 16+ years of relevant experience; OR master's degree in a related STEM discipline with 14+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS Gov Cloud experience.
- 3+ years of Bash scripting experience.
- 3+ years of Git Lab experience in a CI/CD pipeline environment.
- 5+ years of C++ experience.
- 5+ years of Python experience.
- Linux-based software development experience.
- Expertise configuring Git Lab pipelines and YAML files.
- Experience with Nexus.
- Experience with Artifactory.
- Ability to configure and maintain software development environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team.
Preferred Skills
- Jira expertise.
- C++11 experience.
- Object-oriented software development experience.
- CMake experience.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Agile software development experience.
- Experience developing software estimates.
- Git Lab pipeline troubleshooting experience.
- Ada programming or software-testing experience.
- Experience with Green Hills compilers for Ada.
- AUnit experience for Ada unit testing.
- GNATmake experience.
- Vector CAST experience.

- Gcov/Gcovr experience.
- Experience with pair programming and highly collaborative development environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What You'll Do
- Migrate an existing software development network to an AWS Gov Cloud-based environment.
- Configure and maintain AWS Gov Cloud development infrastructure.
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure development environments and supporting software tools.
- Develop automation and support scripts using Bash and Python.
- Support C++ software development within Linux environments.
- Manage software artifacts using Nexus and Artifactory.
- Troubleshoot pipeline, environment, configuration, and software-integration issues.
- Collaborate daily with software engineers and other technical team members.
- Support Agile software development, planning, estimation, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Recommend improvements to software-development processes, automation, and infrastructure.
Pay
- Up to $135.00 per hour.
