Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Responsibilities

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.

Six months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrates adaptability, dependability, and effective courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Neat appearance required as customer contact is involved. Must meet and maintain the qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Employees who operate a company vehicle must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Must work with a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
